Winemakers in the City
This year, the fair will once again be held in two squares in the medieval city: Place du Général de Gaulle and Place Mirabeau.
On the agenda for this spring day:
– Wine tasting featuring 60 Chinon winemakers
– Parade by the Confrérie des Entonneurs Rabelaisiens
– Musical stroll with a jazz and swing band
– Introduction to wine tasting
– Free guided tour following in Rabelais’ footsteps at 3:30 p.m., departing from the Tourist Office (max. 30 people)
– Exhibits featuring local culinary trades and artisans: Le P’tit Rabelais, Santons Tourangeaux, Mille et une Confitures jams, the Touraine Saffron and Truffle Growers Association, fouées from Ma fouée and the Plaisir de Chinon bakery, cheeses and fouées from Le Vazereau, and many more !
